Darby was 6 days old at her newborn session. She was a beautiful baby and at a great age for newborn baby portraits. I love going to people’s homes and they have lots of new ideas for images. This family had so many adorable props and ideas, it was a really fun shoot and Darby was a doll. Daddy was a doctor and mommy was a preschool teacher so we used props for each. Because we did a Halloween shot and it was my first ever, I wanted to post today and say Happy Halloween! May your day be filled with many treats

I recently shot a beautiful family for their holiday card. I had previously done a session with them when their oldest daughter was just a baby so it was really fun to see how she has grown and become a big sis. The two little girls were so sweet and brought back many memories of my childhood and relationship with my sisters. We divided the session between family portraits and letting the girls be girls and play in their darling tutu outfits. Here are some of the photos we took:

itty bitty baby toes!

Last week I photographed newborn baby Robert Guytano (nicknamed “Guy”…adorable!) and had such a wonderful shoot. The family was so warm and welcoming and had wonderful ideas for the shoot. Robert wore the most darling cloth diapers I have ever seen and these are a photo shoot dream! I cannot say enough about how darling they were….and even had me wishing I had tried going cloth with my daughter! Daddy and Mommy were both doctors so it seemed fitting to use the stethoscope. And since Robert’s dad is a baseball fan, they had the wonderful idea of incorporating it into the shoot! Here are my favorite images:

“B” is for Baby Boy Brayden

Baby Brayden was at a great age for taking photos. There were many giggles and lots of rolling over and grabbing onto toes which is always really fun for photos. He was a happy baby and it showed. He had a collection of darling hats and I LOVE the gray Mohawk hat….SO cute! We held the session in the family’s home and even took some shots with their adorable English Bulldog. There were so many shots I loved from this shoot it was hard to choose but here are my favorites from the day:

Newborn Baby Leo!

I photographed baby Leo for his birth announcement in the family’s visually stunning home. Leo was so alert and didn’t want to miss a moment of fun so he was always looking at the camera. We took some adorable shots around the house and I just love all the beautiful furnishings that made for perfect backdrops! Welcome baby Leo, you are so tiny and simply adorable and I love the photos we took!

Rohan and Kiran were filled with energy and smiles at our shoot recently. From painting to swings, bath time and bouncing on the bed, we never ran out of things to do! Their dog Lollie even made an appearance. The painting photos were so much fun and the boys created a masterpiece. Thank you for welcoming me into your home “A” family, it was a great shoot!

Riley turns one!

Happy first birthday to an adorable little girl named Riley! I was so touched when I was asked to do an extended family session on Riley’s birthday. I don’t normally photograph events, but this was just family and a very special day to be a part of. Riley’s mom created the most whimsical and magical room filled with balloons, tissue balls, photos, desserts and so much more. Every detail was planned to perfection. Welcome baby brother!

Nicolas was less than a week old when we took his newborn photos. His sister was thrilled to welcome her baby brother to the family and was excited to take photos with him. a lovely little angel, Aviana.

Aviana and her parents were so warm and welcoming on our shoot recently. Babies bring such joy to new parents and this family was no exception. Their love was so apparent and Aviana was just a doll. beach baby!

I recently did a family portrait session early in the morning at a beach in Santa Monica. Little Natasha was an absolute delight with a full smile throughout the shoot. It was a wonderful reminder about enjoying the little things in life as she was fascinated by all that was around her…. the birds, the people and even the sand brought her such great joy.
